The Excitement of the 2024 World Open
Ever wondered what happens when over a hundred shooters converge under blazing hot conditions, with tricky winds and a stack of impressive prizes? You get the 2024 World Open at Williamsport, the oldest and most esteemed big shoot in the country! This year’s event was nothing short of exhilarating, as competitors faced the notorious Williamsport winds that posed challenges throughout the competition.
A Special Shoutout to Our Donated Annealer Recipient
We are thrilled to highlight one of the standout moments from this year’s World Open. Our donated annealer, a key prize in the competition, was awarded to Andrew Murtagh, an exceptional shooter who placed 18th in the light gun category. It was heartwarming to hear Andrew say, “Thank you for the annealer! It’s a nice little unit.” Such appreciative feedback reaffirms our commitment to enhancing the shooting experience.
Gratitude for a Memorable Event
The event kicked off with a Friday night hand chip draw, where competitors selected their relays and benches for the light gun and heavy gun matches. The excitement was palpable as shooters prepared for the challenging weekend ahead. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made the 2024 World Open a success, including our sponsors for their generous donations, the board for their meticulous planning, the statisticians for accurate scoring, and all the volunteers and members who contributed to setup, raffles, food, and pit operations. Congratulations to all participants, especially to our client for their impressive 18th place finish. We look forward to supporting and seeing you all at next year’s World Open!
