When used, major force of the screwing/unscrewing is distributed on the sides of the key, not at the tips of the triangle. Also, stock screws are not screwed on quite tight, just for your information. It may occur that triangular wrench is a tight fit (depending on tolerances) so light tapping may be required for fitting it on the screw head.
